GaDOE Grant Opportunities

Computer Science Teacher Credential Grant

The Computer Science Teacher Credential (CSTC) Grant is intended to support broadening participation in K-12 Computer Science (CS) education and to assist in the implementation of O.C.G.A. 20-2-149.3 by providing funding for teacher professional development and training, teacher certifications, and teacher endorsements for middle and high school CS teachers. A maximum of $300,000 in grant funds is available, with a maximum of $15,000 per district. Georgia LEAs are eligible to apply.

Computer Science Teacher Equipment and Community Grant

The Computer Science Teacher Equipment and Community (CSTEC) Grant provides support for all students to engage in computer science experiences. This grant offers professional support for instruction, practice, and pedagogy, including the use of physical computing to engage students in computer science education. A maximum of $200,000 will be awarded in grants for the FY25 school year, up to $10,000 per district. Georgia LEAs are eligible to apply.

Georgia Outdoor Learning Demonstration (GOLD) Grant

The Georgia Outdoor Learning Demonstration (GOLD) Grant is intended to support the launch, revitalization, or expansion of outdoor learning opportunities for children in all parts of the state. Through an appropriation from the Georgia General Assembly and administered by the Environmental Education Alliance, Inc.​, a total of $90,000 in grant funds, up to $500-5000 per recipient, will be awarded. Georgia LEAs and non-profit organizations providing outdoor learning opportunities to public school children are eligible to apply.

Teacher Grants for Innovation

Are you a teacher with an innovative project designed to improve learning outcomes and make a measurable impact on your students' lives? Through the Georgia Teachers Initiative, the Georgia Foundation for Public Education is awarding between $500 and $2,500 in Teacher Grants for Innovation to Georgia public school teachers to help bring your creative ideas to life. This grant will remain open, and applications are received on a rolling basis. Applications for each monthly round are due on the 15th of each month. Winners are announced on the 15th of the following month.

Early Literacy Alignment Mini Grant

The Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE) is providing an Early Literacy Alignment Mini Grant (ELA Mini Grant) with up to $5,000 for rural Georgia public elementary schools seeking to vertically align innovative literacy practices with local child care programs. Specifically, the grant funds strategic partnerships between early care providers and local public elementary schools as they engage in collaborative professional learning to align literacy practices for a smooth transition for rising pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. The selected professional development program must have an early literacy focus that will strengthen vertical alignment in literacy instruction at the child care center and the elementary school, ensuring rising pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students are entering school with strong foundational literacy skills. Check back for details on an informational webinar coming Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 12 p.m.
