    CONNECT GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $1,000,000 grant award in State Bond Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) as part of O.C.G.A 20-4-240, which requires the State Board of Education to establish an annual grant for the renovation, modernization, replacement, or purchase of equipment for the enhancement of programs currently certified or in the process of achieving industry certification in educational facilities aligning to industry credentials linked to occupations in the skilled trade industry. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    Electric Vehicle Maintenance Lab GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $2,189,104 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for the purchase of electric vehicle maintenance lab equipment for CTAE Automotive Education programs. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    Elementary and Middle School Construction Education GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $121,175 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for the purchase of lab equipment for elementary and middle school CTAE Construction Education programs. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    FY24 Construction-Related Equipment Grants for Career, Technical, and Agricultural EducationAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $5,571,250 grant award to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to support CTAE program improvement by providing funds to be used for essential equipment in new or remodeled facilities opening in FY24. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    FY24 Federal High School Program Grants for Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $23,131,503 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for the support of CTAE High School and Middle School programs. The CTAE Division of the Georgia Department of Education serves as the fiscal agent for federal funds allocated to the state of Georgia through the Carl D. Perkins V legislation. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    Why Georgia Works Alignment GrantBoard Item


    The State Board of Education approved a $203,564 grant award to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to provide financial and technical assistance resources to assess the alignment of existing CTAE programs to local and regional workforce needs and to build a plan to close gaps and strengthen alignment efforts. This grant builds upon the Georgia Alignment Toolkit. Grant period ends May 31, 2025.

    FY25 Graduates Ready to Attain Success in Postsecondary (GRASP) GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a grant award not to exceed $2,830,684 in State and Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for funding one additional counselor at twenty identified high schools to support a limited caseload of at-risk students in achieving academic, personal, and career development success. Grant period ends June 30, 2025.


    FY24 Title I, Part A, 1003 School Improvement Implementation GrantsAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $36,715,256 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) with schools identified as Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI), Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI), Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI), or Tier IV. This grant is awarded to support implementation of school improvement plans as outlined in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015, and the ESEA Flexibility Waiver approved by the United States Education Department on June 12, 2015. Grant period ends September 30, 2024.


    FY24 RESA Supplemental GrantsAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $20,894,860 grant award in State and Federal Funds to 16 Regional Education Service Agencies (RESAs) for school improvement specialists, educational technology services, mathematics mentors, English language arts specialists, school climate specialists, wraparound coordinators, academic recovery specialists, the Growing Readers program, leadership coaching for rural schools, and a rural network initiative. Grant period for federal funds ends September 30, 2024 and state funds June 30, 2024.

    Advanced Placement (AP) Teacher Training GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $198,916 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to support the growth of AP programs by providing teachers the opportunity to attend AP Summer Institute Training. Grant period ends August 31, 2024.


    Computer Science for Georgia (CS4GA) Capacity GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $154,250 grant award in State Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to support local districts in building Computer Science teacher capacity to ensure that each middle and high school is able to provide a Computer Science course. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    Computer Science Teacher Equipment and Community GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $184,000 grant award in State Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to support the growth of the Computer Science education discipline by connecting Computer Science teachers to a larger professional community and providing them with tools for engaging students in tangible experiences. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    Cultivating Teachers GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $350,000 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to provide financial support to districts with scheduled courses in the Teaching as a Profession Pathway. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    FY25 Dyslexia Screeners GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a grant award not to exceed $5,022,090 in State Funds for Dyslexia Screening pursuant to SB48 (2019 Legislative Session). Grant period ends June 30, 2025.


    FY24 Dyslexia Screeners GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $3,500,000 grant award in State Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for Dyslexia Screening pursuant to SB48 (2019 Legislative Session). Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    GaLEADS Pilot Participation Grant Year 2Allocations


    The State Board of Education approved a grant award not to exceed $4,598,272 in Federal Funds for participating in the Georgia Leader and Educator Acceleration and Development System (GaLEADS) Pilot Program. Grant period ends August 31, 2024.


    Georgia Outdoor Learning Demonstration (GOLD) GrantsAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $67,500 grant award in State Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for the purpose of supporting outdoor learning opportunities for students. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    K-5 Numeracy Development GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $2,997,201 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for providing evidence-based intervention resources to support K-5 students' numeracy development. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.

    The State Board of Education approved a $20,684,076 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for the purpose of implementation of Year Five of the L4GA 2019 Grant. Grant period ends September 30, 2024.


    Literacy for Learning, Living, and Leading in Georgia (L4GA) 2019: Cohort Two Year Four GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $13,511,604 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for the purpose of implementation of Year Four of the L4GA 2019 Grant. Grant period ends September 30, 2024.


    Paraprofessional to Teacher Reimbursement GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $1,889,500 grant award in State Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for covering costs associated with paraprofessionals completing their teaching certification through the Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation Pedagogy (GaTAPP) program. Grant period ends March 31, 2025.


    Science Teacher Equipment and Community GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $53,962 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to emphasize ongoing professional development and support for science teachers, particularly those with fewer than five years of experience, and to assist with the provision of science equipment or supplies to support standards-based instruction. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    stART GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $200,000 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to expand access to arts education in rural Georgia. Grant period ends September 30, 2024.


    Teaching and Learning Opportunity Grants, Round 3Allocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $6,123,948 grant award in Federal Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to provide resources needed for Advanced Placement (AP), Health and Physical Education, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and World Language teachers to implement sustainable instructional initiatives and to support the recruitment and retention of teachers. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.

    School-Based Health Center (SBHC) Planning Grant, Round 1Allocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $150,000 grant award in Federal Governor's Emergency Education Relief Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to provide for planning activities and to convene key stakeholders to prepare for establishing SBHCs in their districts. Grant period ends May 31, 2024.


    School-Based Health Center (SBHC) Planning Grant, Round 2Allocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $162,000 grant award in Federal Governor's Emergency Education Relief Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to provide for planning activities and to convene key stakeholders to prepare for establishing SBHCs in their districts.     FY24 Feminine Hygiene Products for Low Income Students GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $1,450,000 grant award in State Funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for providing feminine hygiene products to low-income students. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    FY24 RESA Mental Health Awareness Training GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $800,000 grant award in State Funds to 16 Regional Education Service Agencies (RESAs) for assisting with mental health awareness activities to support student mental health and well-being. Grant period ends June 30, 2024.


    FY24 School-Based Health Center (SBHC) Renovation GrantAllocations


    The State Board of Education approved a $1,340,000 grant award in Federal Funds to five Local Education Agencies (LEAs) previously awarded SBHC planning grants for the renovation and infrastructure of new school-based health centers. Grant period ends September 30, 2025.
